my homemade picks :D

Well, i watched pyro's video on how to make lock picks and i thought it was great, so it started to make me think what else you could make picks out of. So i got a bunch of metal coat hangers, cut the wire into the size of the pick you want. Then i grinded down the shaft and the end so it was skinny and used plyers to put the correct pick tip on it. They turned out great and they dont bend while trying to pick a lock. So heres a pick of what they look like.

You definitely have the 'gift of grind', if you put that much effort into some hacksaw blades, wiper blade inserts or cleaner bristols etc..., you would have a much more serviceable set. I'm not sure if its just me or the picture, but they look a little roundish (like thick dental picks), which may make them to thick for tighter keyways. A good polish may help reduce the ginding marks and increase their feedback.
