Hacksawblades-flexible?

Hello
I just put my left foot in the hoby and thought i could make some lockpicks right away (I have sort of gone over using paperclips on every lock)
So to my question- Are the hacksawblades you use suppose to be flexible? Mine is and I'm not real sure that they will last for long after I have grinded them so they look like a pick.

flexible=good
not flexible=bends/breaks

they will last, ive had mine for about a year, no problems yet.

Make sure you cut the picks so the shaft tapers down to the tip. A nice smooth slope will keep the pick from bending or breaking.
