Plasti-Dip Pick Handles

Has anyone used plasti-dip to coat pick handles? I'm thinking about trying some this weekend. It comes in some nifty colors!!!

YEP.

I use plasti-dip on my non-handled picks. It keeps them from slipping.
I've had a few peel though, so prepare the steel you are going to dip with a cross cut file, or course sand paper. That way, there is a surface for the plastic to adhere to.

Follow the directions exactly, slow dip in, slow removal. Hang the piece so that the last part taken out is pointing down. I dip straight in, using the pick shaft to hold onto, so I hang with the shaft pointing up. Allow a minimum of 15 minutes between dunks. Do not use for at least 24 hours after final dunk. Maybe more if you have built up a thick handle.

In most cases, it will work very well.

i have used it on my homemade picks also. it's a great product, so easy to make yourself a rubber handle handle.

the best is they sell it on different, such as black, yellow, blue, white and red. it means you can have different color rubber handle.

by the way, i saw they have another one which is 'spray' version which is like the spray paint...hmm...no idea they are good or not...

i tried...and tried emailing the mitre 10, but they just said "it was an american product and they'd have to check when its getting shiped"
but i think it turned out either you cant get it or its very hard.

Well, if you'd like I could purchase and ship, if heat is no problem. Since I am in the states and all, I am going to go see around me who sells some for myself actually here today hopefully.
