My homebrew hook pick.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

My homebrew hook pick.

these are basic short hooks, since this is my first time, i wanted to do something simple just to try it out. i havnt finished polishing yet, and still have to put on the heat shrink, but here you go. also, im not sure how o resize pics, so would a mod mind doing it for me? im sure they're gunna be too big. thanks

looks pretty good man, maybe take a little of the top of the tang to give a better reach.

thanks very much for the kind words. these are really just trial versions, but i enjoyed doing this, so ill get on some more. i dont have a wheel grinder, or a clamp, lol so these were done by dremel and elbow grease. I didnt try to polish it too much, i used 220 grit and 1200 grit. then some compound i had with my dremel. even though they are trials, i try to take pride in anything i do. and LN21, im making some with your name on them.. literally ;)

lets just hope they work

Amen! That or birch wood... Wood handels are a nice simple accent to a pick but wood is so workable, and with stain really have a brilliant handel, with a nice classy touch.

I am very excited to see the out come on your tools man, keep them comin! :)

PoRT55, I noticed you're using photobucket for your pic host. They can do the resizing for you. There's 2 ways: either set it in the options before you upload the pics, the second method is through the pic editor which can keep the same name so that your links don't break after adjusting.

The picks look great!

I love that, got slammed in hockey, went to the dentist to finx a chiped tooth.

Quote me on this if you must:
All I have to say is that happy-gas and novacaine are the sh*t! PERIOD!

You can get punched by a boxer, not feel it, and laugh about it.. its when it wears off the partys over.. :(
