Just received my set of SouthOrd slimline picks ( SouthOrd 2010) 22 piece set from LockPickShop.com. Just thought I'd pass along some initial thoughts. I always thought there wasn't enough room to move a regular hook (from my SouthOrd MPXS 14 set) around in a lock, thats why, after reading up on slimlines here, I ordered them. They're great in my opinion. The smaller slimmer ends on the picks makes it easier to feel the individual pins. With the older picks, I was never sure if I was lifting one pin or two. Now I know. But as I have read on these forums, you have to be gentle with them. The other advantage with them is, since I don't want to bend them, I find that I am applying a much lighter touch on the tension wrench, which ( like everyone says) is the way to go. I now realize how heavy handed I was being before. I am working through Digital Blues exercise now with much more success.
