My Old Homemade Set

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

hopefully that photo worked. its not the best quality picture. im still somewhat new at posting. not so new to the site. im training to become a locksmith. i pick and make picks alot on my free time as a hobby... anyway thats my older first set of home made picks. i didnt have a bench grinder at that point in time so they were all made using a small triangle file and hack saw blades. please let me know what you think.

from right to left:
single sided, half diamond, hook, snake rake, skinny half diamond, snowman, (i made this one up) kinda looks like a half snowman

thanks
-Eddie

Well done for the tools you had, must've taken forever and maybe it's just the picture but they look too rough and probably in need of sanding/polish.

Welcome to posting. :D

it wasnt too bad considering the tools I had to use.. I would say around 3 hours per pick.. and they're not too rough. thats just some of the grey paint from the blade. but I did end up sanding the paint off of some of those. and they did look nicer after that. i have a couple other homebrew sets i made after i got my grinder. they look a lot nicer because I grinded all the paint off of them first. hopfully I'll get around to posting some more pics of those soon.

thank you all for your opinions
