6-12 tension tool

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

6-12 tension tool

Postby dktf » 28 May 2009 17:09

hey all,

i was looking at a special tension wrench located at lockpicktools.com (it's apparently a tension wrench that can be used at both the top and the bottom of the keyway)

has anyone purchased one of these and can give me a brief review? or give me an opinion of whether or not it's worth investing into.

thanks!

Not that this is a direct answer to your question, but you could just bend the end of a normal wrench... stick it in a vise, give it a bend and tidy it up with a file, if needed.

Is this the style of tension wrench you are referring to?

Useful in some automotive applications (not to be discussed in open forums) and with some other style of locks like some wafer locks. Great for when you need it, otherwise just another chunk of metal to lug around in the off chance it might come in handy.
It's a good day when I learn something new.
