When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

My Simple Lock Pick Set.

WOOHOO I just received my lock picks in the mail. Just a 4 piece lock pick set from southord. They work so much better than the homemade picks I've made. I got a larger diamond, small hook, s rake, and a short twist flex tension wrench. It also came with a nice catalog which shows how legitimate they are. I'll post some picks when I can but i dont have a digital camera.

I remember when I got my first pick set. I was so excited.

Exodus and Short-Hook
Sitting in a tree,
P-I-C-K-I-N-G.
First a Chubb, then a Schalge,
Then the shearline clicks to engage.
