How wide are real lock picks?

I'm trying to figure out, basically, the size of the metal strips that companies like SouthOrd make their picks from.
Basically, I want to know the width of the handle, because usually the pick never extends passed the handle edges (for those that are made from one solid piece of steel)

For instance:

All these picks look like they are made from one solid strip of steel - I'd like to know how wide those handles are.

HPC handles are 3.164 inches long, .319 inches wide.

Those aren't "real", those are commercial knockoffs.

Micrometer says my tools are
0.51mm thick
8.00mm tall
118.07mm - 120.7mm long.

Sometimes I feel like they're a little too small.

That's one of my pick sets in the photo : ) They are standard Southord picks, so they are 8 mm wide.

Simple answer.....wide enough for you do do the job effectively......it's as is always mentioned-- Each to there own

Thanks guys. I was only curious because I wanted to know the size of the metal strips they used to make them. I just wanted to get an idea of the handle size of real picks, mainly out of simple curiosity and to compare to my homemade picks.
Nothing vital, I know it doesn't really matter, I just like to know random things like this
