Follow a street sweeper (The machine kind not the chap with a broom). you should find some nice bristles that you can manipulate, though you might want to get a file to them.
p.s. Don't take this the wrong way but I have noticed that your attempts to shorten 'anyway' to 'n e way' has actualy made it longer, was this intended?

Well there are paper clips, but they would be worse than what you are using at the minute. With you living in such a different environment to most people on the board then you might need to have a bit of creative thinking.
Try looking at your bed to see if it has springs holding up a chain mesh that the matress sits on top, if it does then you could try converting one of the springs into a tension wrench, might take a bit of work. Or you could try and get hold of some wiper blades as these make good material to fasion your picks and tension wrenches out of.
Note the bed spring is just an idea and I have not actually tried it myself, but it would be worth trying.

Well if at all possible, you could find a local hardware store or some sort of department store (I'm sorry, unfortunately I'm not familiar with availabilities in Malaysia so please forgive my ignorance.) and purchase some hacksaw blades, some 250 and 600 grit sandpapers for polishing, and perhaps a couple files. Filing may take some time, but you can still create some dandy picks. Or, if there are some auto repair or supply shops, see if you can get some windshield wiper inserts, great material for tension wrenches.
Hope what I added was useful.

I think you'll be okay making picks in your room with the files, sandpaper and hacksaw blades. Just keep things simple and have patience, you'll do great.

LOL!
Sorry, but for a second the image of Kelsey Gramer ( a.k.a. Frasier ) just popped into my head. Now I can't get rid of it.

Hi Tom,
Can I suggest a day trip to Putrajaya? I've got a few friends who spent a couple of months there recently and they said it was the cleanest place they've ever seen - I'd bet my life that they've got street cleaners but there's always the chance that you won't find any bristles....
It's a thought anyway and if you do find 3 or 4, do a search here for Raimundo's Bogota rake design and you'll be able to make yourself a nice little set. All you need toolwise is a file, a chopstick (should be easy enough find in Malaysia ) and some fine grade wet and dry sandpaper for tidying up the finish.
Good luck!

I've had a great deal of success with small standard screwdrivers, but I'm suprised you don't invest in a proper set of tools. If you check the net, several tension wrenches are available for very little money. Granted my knowledge of the Malay legal system is somewhat lacking, so check with the local authorities before attempting to purchase.
