very first homemade picks.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

very nice, and if the notches are in the way picking, perhaps you could make just a few of them, and cut lines into the surface of the pick handles to indicate a feather that hasnt been split like that.
good stuff. keep up the good work, and you don't need to make the pick shafts more than a quarter inch longer than the distance from the tip of a 6pin key to the shoulder of that key.
that will allow you to hold closer to the lock face and feel the shift in the plug with your finger.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

Very nice! I especially like the smaller white and yellow ones. I've often wondered if a handle with more "tactile landmarks" would make picking easier because it would provide more awareness of where the tip in in relation to your grip.

Those are some of the most artistic picks I've seen. If you know someone who can paint well, having them paint the picks to match the feather cutouts would look amazing.

Handsome!! The one in the very middle looks like it's about to fly!

Do you do anything special to the edges for comfort, or is there no need to do so?

Those are very unique picks. It's almost as if they're made by a designer brand or something...as long as they're comfortable to use, no harm in adding some decoration. The business ends of the pick are really elegant too. All things considered, very well done indeed for your first homemade picks!

Congratulations, may you pick many a lock with these fine pieces of craftsmanship!
