Best Dremel Bits For Making Lock Picks

Hey guys, i'm newer to lock picking, been playing with locks for around 6 months

Haven't had a real chance to play with security pins yet. I play with 5 Pin kwikset locks and small basic pad locks.
I make my tools from hacksaw blades of course. Anyhow, I have a bench grinder and a vice, along with a dremel.
I was planning on ordering some good bits for making lock picks. What do you recommend? I know the thin cutting disk's are good
but what else? I want to make some snake rakes and other rakes, I wan't to add good detail but still stay under $20 on the bits.

the dremel cutoff wheels are good for finishing but will not last long on hacksaw blades. I would suggest ruffing your picks out as much as possible with your bench grinder and then I use the fiber reinforced cutoff wheels to finish out the shape, then for final touches I break out the hand files. after all that just sand em down.

i also ordered the mandrel for those cut off wheels. I have a few files already and some sand paper, but i will pick up some more.
Thanks. I use the grinder like you said to make my pick "blanks" . Is what I chose an alright choice?

The diamond burr bits are really small but they work alright. Mine ended up losing the coating really fast though.

Agreed. Don't use the stone cutoffs on hacksaw blades -the metal will bind them and break them. Use those fiber ones. They are a lot more expensive but last 10x longer.

well i guess its a little late. I only plan on using the cut off wheels for cutting very tiny pieces, the bench grinder will do the majority of work. Thanks!

Will be making some new picks after I move so 3 weeks!
