Where to buy lockpicking sets?

I am Fifteen years of age and looking for a lock picking set. I have really taken a liking to the hobby of lock picking and have been practicing with make-shift lock picks and tension tools. Now these have been working up to a certain extent, but I now am looking into purchasing an actual set. My parents are a bit hesitant on using their debt/ credit card online buying something they have no idea about from a site unknown to them. Does anyone have an idea of how I can get a set without having to use a card? Do any hardware stores sell lock picking sets? If not are there any alternative way of buying them? Like paypal for example.

You should find most any online company accepts paypal. Not sure what companies may or may not but I wouldn't deal with a company that doesn't accept it. It's by far the most safest way to buy online.

You could try a Visa gift card; just load it with a high enough balance to make your purchase online. If someone does steal it you're out a relatively low amount of money and don't lose a lot of sleep.

On the other end of things, I've had my credit card compromised twice and getting the charges reversed was easy. Credit card theft has become so common these days that pretty much everyone lets you off the hook for transactions you never made and vendors work very hard to prove they're legit. I'm not saying you should be lackadaisical* about your security but don't worry too much either. Worst case, as The Tank said, Paypal is a good option, as well as Google Checkout.

*Lackadaisical - adj. carelessly lazy. (I hardly ever get to use this word!)
