They look pretty good, but they look very fragile. Sandem down really good before you use them, makes it easier.

What grit sandpaper(s) did you use?
If its done right you will notice a huge difference.

Try copying an existing pick precisely. So print out the pick, lay it over your hacksaw blade and engrave the edges in the hacksawblade itself. Now you should be able to get a prefectly working pick. The picks you made yourself have to narrow shafts, thus beeing very fragile. You should try to get a few beginner set style picks such as a diamond, a hook (you sort of got that one but try getting it from a template) a snake and so on. At least that worked for me

About making your own picks... could someone discribe or link to a page which tells you how to make your own picks?

Do a SEARCH....................
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Personally, I'd like to know if you can spell, or type.

This forum uses the printed word as it's primary means of communication. If we cannot understand what you have typed, or if it is too difficult to understand it will be ignored by many (or most) people.

Get with the program, and learn to use your keyboard.

Not to mention the fact that there's no need for secrecy and PMing, just tell us what you did and post your picks. I'm interested in how you managed to wing it with coat hangers, but not enough to PM you about it. No offense, it's just that the open sharing of info is what's helped me learn so much from this board.

You'd get much more/better feedback if you made your own clear, concise thread with a description (preferably with a picture) of your picks and technique in making them. They'll also most likely help you to improve your set where necessary.
