Homemade Bogotas

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Homemade Bogotas

Hey everyone,

Just made some Bogotas out of street sweeper bristles, and I figured I'd post some pictures :)

The bristles I had were about 1mm thick, which is nice, I'm used to seeing them ~.75-~.90 mm thick. I made them with only hand files and sandpaper. It took me ~2 hours of work to get this far, but I still have a lot of polishing work to do. They already work like magic on the locks I've tried them on though. I can now pop my 5 pin Kwikset in less than a second :D .

Not to mention the fact that most distributors do not sell these style of picks. I made two Bogota picks, one seems to work better than the other. My problem is making hook picks. Made 3 and none work as well as the factory pick I have.
