Sparrows order (stamp of approval)

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Sparrows order (stamp of approval)

Postby Comrade627 » 12 Apr 2015 21:56

I'll keep it short.
Ordered things from sparrows solely because the mat looked cool.

It is.

-mat=awesome, feels durable and high quality, car floormat-esque. Recommended product
-warded pick set= awesome and works well. Recommended product or DIY.
-pin tweezers=awesome, life got easier. Must have product.
-plug followers=awesome. real followers can't be matched. Thanks for the push Squelchtone. Must have product.
-cuff key=haven't tested, but who cares. Makes me feel like a spy. Must have product
-magneto=awesome. Advertised 96lb magnet force, was sceptic until I set it down and it scooped up 7 locks within 6 inches, knocked over a glass, fell off the table and scared the cats sh**less. Almost had to use other tools to seperate metal pile. Must have product based on: who doesn't want a stupid strong magnet.

Agreed. The quality from Sparrows is nice. In figuring out how to use the warded picks I was really cranking on them. None of them bent!

This isn't to say they aren't bendable, but they can some torque.

I keep my sparrow set on my belt as my carrying set. You cannot argue that for the price you are getting some great stuff. The first time I used a cam lock tool was my sparrows and as a beginner I was afraid to break them but they survived the test of a noob.

Have you used that magnet on a kaba cipher lock yet?

Not yet. I want to search for data to see if it can damage the cipher first.

But i have been sticking it to just about everything.

I just took a 3 hour covert entry course in Austin, they demonstrated the technique posted above (i will not go into detail since this is not an 'advanced thread', please do the same) but i will say you cant hurt the lock, its 100% mechanical. give it a try!

I've ordered 3 times from sparrows and have had nothing but great experiences. I will definitely order more from them. Good prices, great products and fast shipping. Also has amazing customer service. They accidentally sent me 2 of the same order and when I told them about it they told me to just pass it on to someone else and share the good luck. ( which I did lol )

I am fixing to complete my first order from sparrow. I have heard great things about their quality and attention to detail, and they do seem to have great prices. By the look at that pinning mat, I would say I agree. I might have to pick one of those up as well with my order. Thanks for the info!
