Hello,

Plumbing snake is a roll of spring steel ( from 5 to 7mm wide ) and up to 50ft long.

very good stuff to make picks.

what state do you live in, i could reccomend some harwar stores.

files will do it with ease but an angle grinder or bench grinder do it better.

Now, here is one dense guy. Doesn't even realize that his own country has states.

Look, try several harware stores and ask for flat steel plumbing snake.

Where do you live anyway? Victoria? NSW, C.T., where?

Plumbing snake is beatiful stuff, what i love most about it is how affordable it is, you generally will pay maybe 3 - 4 bucks for a 20ft roll. But i was in a 2 dollar shop the other day they were selling it for $1.78 :) go figgure, the asians think they can make it sound cheaper by selling it for $1.78 as oppose to 1.80 :o . Anyway Home Hardware, or Bunnings are the places to look as stated by Skold. Also the roll it comes in is plastic, be gentle, when i brought my first wheel it SNAPPED and the steel all shot out and covered my clothes in oil :x ahhhh sacrifices.

I just returned from the new dollar store in my area. They sell 12ft of plumbing snake for $0.99, but this snake is soooo much better than the kind I get at Sears. This is thinner, more narrower, and much more springy. I've got enough for another attempt at a DIY pickgun, as well as a jackknife computer generated pick set (or a computer pick set with reinforced handles...).

It is use for removing some stuff on the pipes in your bathroom. This is a spring that is made of steel. This is a flexible enough to bend in the pipe junctions.
