They are fantastic. IMO They can take your picking to a new level. SPP is the best but if you are wanting to bridge that gap especially with security pins these will rapidly demonstrate the virtues of false set and also assist for exploring proper tension. The original ones hand made by Rai are hands down the best but since they are no longer available I would grab these and then put some South Ord handles on

I have all examples available from the commercially made companies and find these best and closest to the original. I keep my original 2 sets and have compared to all in my collection. I will also admit that there are times when the originals will work better and and definitely have an edge over all others but you can also further finish these and polish them up for an even closer approximation to the hand made originals. Finally you can even bend the popsicle handles to proper angles to approach the original design characteristics when utilizing these. I would definitely grab a set of these if you’re wanting to continue with the sport.
