Pick kit to start with? Washer/dryer?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Pick kit to start with? Washer/dryer?

Postby OhioGuy12 » 6 May 2023 20:50

I'm new to lock picking. Can someone recommend a good pick kit to start with? I like this one because it's covertly disguised as a pen, but is this a sufficient kit? And is $40 about what you'd expect to pay on a pick kit or should I look for a cheaper one?

Right now, I'm trying to get into a coin operated washer and dryer. I have permission from the owner. He was going to hire a locksmith but I figured I'd give it a go first. But I also want to have a good pick kit for future uses.

Sorry, but we don't discuss picking washers and dryers in the general public facing forum. You may be helping your friend/landlord/whoever, but enough people want to cheat the system and not pay for laundry that they'll come here to get advice, and we don't care to educate them on stealing services.

Washer and dryer machines that are coin operated store money and thus fall under Rule 19F of the forum rules:
https://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=715, which states we do not discuss picking those types of devices outside of our trusted members only Advanced Topics area.

You may find what you are looking for on Youtube.
