I feel awfully tweaked for not having figured this out myself, but someone I was teaching to pick just started doin' it, and I was going to correct him when I realized that it worked just fine -.-

Stick a slim pick in at the bottom of the keyway. Twist for tension. Use something with a bend in the back, like raimundo's picks (or just bend it yourself) if you want your hand out of the way, but whatever, it works just fine, and is a VERY low-profile wrench.

How often would you need to buy a set of picks though because there all bent out of shape,

If your doing that do it properly and cut down a junior hacksaw blade to use.

I can't understand why "do the hokey pokey" got 'edited'...it's not like 10,000 people around the world are doing something 'iffy' at someone's party.

If you can't have the hokey-pokey sig Ray, you definitely need another.
