Bogota Picks ...Wow that was fast

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Bogota Picks ...Wow that was fast

Postby pickmonger » 2 Sep 2005 18:45

On Monday , August 29 I ordered a set of bogota picks from www.varjeal.com .

They cost $24 United States $$$..

Lo and behold they were in my mail box this morning .....

Varjeal ...... that was fast shipping, even with Canada Post

It included a bogota and a hook pick .....

They work real smooth and nice.

a hook or a diamond? Raimundo if you're holding out on the hooks ya better meet me in the back alley  .
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Well, from the pictures on varejal.com it's a half diamond.

btw: While I really like the design of the bogota rake, I have little to no success when useing the half diamond.

How do you guys like the half diamond in the bogota sets?

What about different designs for the second pick in a bogota set? Suggestions anyone?

Some designs I really like with the ergo handles:
*king/queen
*snake

Some designs I want to give a try:
*FALLE style deep curve
*hook

The half diamonds aren't quite as useful as the rakes, simply because the handle not as large as I'd like it, and thereforce somewhat uncomfortable. Always nifty to have in your wallet when locked out though.

OMG ...... what a newbie mistake .

Then again I have only been on this site since 2003. It takes a while for some of us.

Yes the bogota comes with a half diamond ...... not a hook
