As a few have said, there are keys which you should not punch, like paracentric keys - Y-1 / Y-2 / Lockwood / and any center, that is not aligned to one side or the other key like some Sargents. You will "crush" the keyway and distort the thing.

I haven't had any problem cutting Everest so far - just take it easy and punch thru those heavy keys easy.

Do you have the software? If so, you can just print the cards.

Not every number is used - think they reserve some for future use. As for missing cards - there are thousands of cards.

Additionally, you can create new cards that are not in the system. As long as you have the depth and spacing information, and if the key is not oversize, then you can print out new cards. I learned about the oversize key bit recently when I was trying to make a card to cut keys for Folger Adam Mogul prison locks. Yeah... they are too big to cut on the Blitz. But it was worth the try!

Please reread my above post. Do you see where it says "Not every number is used"? Now read what you wrote about what HPC said about it does not go to anything or exist in their software. That is two sources - one of them HPC themselves - that are telling you not all numbers are used. HPC told you it does not exist in their system.

That means that the card does not exist, unless someone else makes one and happens to call it that number. Nobody will have that card. Can we/they be any clearer?

Sorry if I appear to be short with you, but when the question has been answered by the company that created the card deck, and you don't like the answer, you expect us to give a different answer. Why is that?

It would be good to say that is from the Punch Deck of cards, HPC Part No. PDECK-104 and has most the cards the OP is missing, with the exception of pf307 and pf235 : http://www.hpcworld.com/mobile/cc/pdeck.html

so does anyone have a picture of this mysterious pf236 card that is IN THEIR LIST OF STANDARD CARDS BUT IS SOMEHOW NOT ON THEIR LIST OF CROSS-REFERENCE OR IN THEIR OWN SOFTWARE

see xreference here
http://www.hpcworld.com/cc/blitzandswit ... index.html

and here is the standard deck of cards for the blitz 1200 and look there again is the cf236 kia 2003 which again DOES NOT EXIST IN THEIR OWN CROSS REFERENCE
http://www.hpcworld.com/cc/blitzandswit ... index.html

i asked hpc and they didnt know........

im just trying to see this card so i can figure out what the hell happened here

its on their list of standard cards that come with the punch it must be used for something right??????????????????????????????

what is that something?

do i bother getting it?

was it somehow superceded by another card?

if i was to purchase another brand new punch today would that card even come with it?

these are things i would like answered and was hoping maybe you guys might know or be able to help me figure out

all of these questions could be gotten farther along to an answer if someone could get a picture of it

Having finally had the time to go through my cards, there is no PF236 in any of the decks I have for my Blitz. Perhaps that is a card that is only for the punch version of the Blitz?

As for the 2003 Kia, there is a card for 2003 - 2005 Kia, which is numbered CF236. That would be this card:

Image

My suspicion is that perhaps there was a 2003 Kia card with the PF236 number, but it may have been superseded to CF236 to show the expanded years the card covers. Or perhaps there was simply a typo (error in typing) when someone was writing out what cards were in the deck.

Now a final comment to the OP... you have asked about that particular PF236 card several times. If you ask the question again, I will delete it. We don't need to clutter up the forum with the same question asked repeatedly, especially in the same thread. You have several answers. If somebody else has the card, am sure they will say so. If nobody has the card, there will not be a response since it does not add to the thread to say "I don't have it" as I have had to do twice. If it is a card that is for the punch 1200, that would explain most of us with a Blitz 1200 not having the card, since the punch 1200 is not nearly as common as the Blitz.

Thank you,

Gordon

Thank you Gwiens2001 for saying what everyone is already thinking. And he's the nice one here compared to me.

Sleepyrz, are you just really OCD and just must have every card HPC ever made or advertised, or do you think the owner of a 2003 Kia is gonna be knocking on your door to cut them keys by code instead of just putting them on a duplicator? I'd like to think most 2003 Kia's are in a junk yard by now, so you can stop worrying about that card so much, and not get demanding with us hobbyists and the few locksmiths here for not having an answer for you. We are not HPC Customer Support nor are we your personal research assistants.

And if he does have the CF236 card, then there is no need for the PF236 card. Do you have the CF236 (2003-2005 Kia) card? That one should have been in your deck, and has identical specs, just extended years.

people lose their keys and then you must cut by code...............................

yes it is for a punch

and yes i have had to turn down jobs because of not having one of the cards i am missing

i have had to turn down at least 3 honda motorcycle jobs
and at least 5-6 kia/hyundai jobs that i could have done if i had the pf235 and pf305

and just because the title of a card says 2003 kia that does not mean it only goes to a 2003 kia

theres a card that says 96+ pathfinder pf304 it goes to all nissan 10 cut keys (most current cars on the road by nissan)

its simply what they titled the card......

i have a question for you tho

you have the cf236 card right?

what does it go to?

There is a picture of CF236 in my post four posts up. What it is for is listed in both of my last two posts.

ok that key blank brings up no references that i can find

the only thing that i can find is the code series wa1001-3040

it looks like it goes to the kia rio cinco kk5/x269 key

but if you look up kia rio cinco in the hpc cross reference it shows you should use the pf305/cf305 card.........
http://www.hpcworld.com/cc/blitzandswit ... index.html

so im wondering if maybe the 305 card has supplanted the 236 card......

sorry to ask for so much gordon but seeing as i dont have that card either is there anyway you can snap a pic of the 305 card so i can see if this is true?

i see the 305 card goes to some of the kias from like 93-06
