Hey guys i'm a newbee to this forum, i just picked up what seems to be a pretty old Sagar SA-100 key machine that is in excellent condition for it's age. I've looked for info online and can't seem to find anything on it, does anybody have a owners manual or have any info on this pretty cool looking and very solid machine? Any help is greatly appreciate it!! Thanks

It would be nice to see a photo of your machine. Also, which country are you located in? This might help us find a manual or some history on the machine.

Thank you,
Squelchtone

I used to have one. They are very fast and good machines only let down by the jaws. The jaws are fine for most keys but have trouble gripping certain blanks. Very fast machine, good for large headed keys. Colour should be dark blue and the top covered in red vinyl. Never needed to replace any parts on the one I had except belt and cutter, also I had a machinist make a new copy dog.

For something *that* old, it is unlikely you will find instructions or a parts manual.

Mr Sagarian Sr, who owned Sagar Corp died in 2014, here is his obituary:

Yeah i kind of figured that after looking and not finding anything on net, i'm glad this machine is all original and looks to be in very good working order so hopefully i won't run into any issues down the road, only needed for hobby and home use. Thanks to all who responded i appreciate it!!!

I might have one but it is so simple not much is needed. Load you keys in using the shoulder stop, release the carriage, turn the crank once forward and once back and you have your key. Nice compact machine.

Yeah Jim it looks pretty simple, i just didn't know if i had to align the key guide but it looks to right on, i'm just waiting for the converter to come in. Thanks and let me know if you do come across the manual it would be good to have.
