HPC Mini SPeedex 9120RM

There is a Mini Speedex for sale near me for $250.
I read through some of the older posts and there seem to be variable opinions (like most tools) about this machine.

It does appear to have 4-way jaw--so it should be able to cut double-sided auto keys, yes?
I should also think that I could change the cutter--and with Space & Depth Keys do some simple (albeit slow) code keys.
Does it work off 12V?
Does this model have any true chronic maintenance or design problems?

This seems like an okay price. Most people want at least $200 plus shipping--which comes out about the same.

I have had a 9120 12vt dc Speedex in my van for 15 or so years. Mine has 4 way vise jaws and it will cut double-sided keys easily but some locksmiths don't like the Speedex machines, I know Cledry has professed a dislike for them. I also have a 9160 Speedex machine in my shop & have used it for many years

I don't know why you would want to change the cutter but I doubt you'll be able to find a tracer that will fit in the Speedex machine that will work for any other profile of cutter. I have cut many keys by code on both of my Speedex machines with depth keys while using the original equipment cutter

So I was reading through the Foley Belsaw 2020 Fall Lock Supply catalog and I noticed this double-angle conversion cutter kit for the Speedex

I don't like them but $250 for a key machine is peanuts. If I was starting out or on a budget, perhaps didn't have a high volume of keys to cut then I wouldn't say no. The full size Speedex which I also don't like would be a better choice unless you are really tight on space.
