Is there a decent 12 Volt Motor for the Speedex that isn't several hundred dollars? They all seem expensive. Would think something for under hundred would work? Thanks

Better jump on it--however seller doesn't accept returns but I have 2 of these & if it works, it will keep on working https://www.ebay.com/itm/Locksmith-Keed ... SwVrtgRhrk

There were some from China for less, but they don't come with a mount

Update, I bought Immediately to avoid missing it. Then saw it was for Keedex, Not Speedex, Thinking it should work or made workable, Has Pulley, mounting screws, 12 Volts, may even be more powerful? Did little searching, no luck with info to compare the 2? Any input appreciated

The motor was indeed made by Keedex, this motor is very strong & is the only 12vt dc motor I have ever used that will actually turn a real belt on a key machine. Every other 12vt dc motor I know of uses a big o'ring instead of an actual belt, due to their lack of strength https://www.keedex.com/products/tools-2/Scroll down half a page

Thanks, I thought Keedex and Speedex were both HPC, is this Motor same size, direct fit? Is it the 12 Volt Motor that typically is used?

This motor is smaller than a 120vt ac motor but larger than other 12vt dc motors. It will bolt onto your Speedex 9160, I have one bolted onto my Speedex 9160 & it's worked great for many years

We always used the ones for starting model airplane engines on our key machines.
