Lishi-type clipper (Lockartist Nibbler)

I saw this for sale on the Foley Belsaw site. I was just curious if anyone had one, and if it offered any advantages over the Lishi... i.e. wider bottom cuts or better with residential keys.

Have not tried them before. Can see some possibilities, but it is the accuracy of the cuts that would cause me concern. There are some key blanks that you can buy that have scribe marks on them so you can cut them with better accuracy using this type of tool.

P.S. - Fixed the Kishi-Lishi for you.

The Lishi makes Narrow angle cuts, great for automotive,
Check the Angle and width to see if closer to a Residential cut(Schlage, Kwikset).
You can use Vice Grips to clamp a Blank next to a Depth Key, with the Lishi, need to make 2 minimum nips. File any excess to correct depth. Hopefully the one you show is for House Keys.
