I think I can finally call my self a auto locksmith

Been opening cars for 24 years now and went in to training for car key making to Manchester in May 2018. Tradelocks gave a good starting point.
First job was a 2000 VW Golf akl, took an hour to complete. And after that I have been taking any kind of job concerning car keys. Also the Merc keys and proximity keys from Audi and VW.

The invest on tools is ridiculous thou...also machines overlapping a bit but you have to have a backup

Glad you made it and are getting on with the work.

This is a question that I see from time pop up on the forum and am curious as to the answer. About how much did you spend in equipment and inventory? (If you are willing to answer. If not, I understand).

It's around 30000-35000 euros but I already had the lock out tools.
