Tool box Lock is driving me nuts

Pull up a chair, grab a cold one, and talk about life as a locksmith. Trade stories of good and bad customers, general work day frustrations, any fun projects you worked on recently, or anything else you want to chat about with fellow locksmiths.

This must be one hell of a toolbox...
Did you notice the 6th pin's hole is a smaller diameter than the first 5?

I did notice, but thought perhaps it had to do with age and wear. New picture, I used the GIMP and made a keyway profile:

Seems that the sixth pin hole could be used to retain the core in the lock if used in a different lock body.

Out of morbid curiosity, I started looking through the Silca Key catalogue... All I can say is that they make a HUGE variety of keys. I think I may have found the correct blank, or at least the correct blank number. Nobody that I've found in the states sells it. Silca DM52, for DOM. The cylinder even looks like other examples of DOM cam locks I have found.

Take your dremel tool to a newer style National mailbox key, when I was a kid we altered millings on the key machine or with a file
