Foley-Belsaw ending an era

Pull up a chair, grab a cold one, and talk about life as a locksmith. Trade stories of good and bad customers, general work day frustrations, any fun projects you worked on recently, or anything else you want to chat about with fellow locksmiths.

Thanks, Jeff! Hope to see you at the next meeting.

I will be there - hoping for a few new guys to show up.

Well, Foley-Belsaw is back.

https://foleybelsawlocksmithing.com

The new owner is selling courses and some supplies. The course is now $400 and is online only. A person does not mail in any thing they worked on. A printed course costs extra. They do sell assortments of parts a person can elect to buy to work on when doing the course, but, again, not required. In my opinion, that is going in the wrong direction. It is basically $400 to read a book online and take a quiz after every chapter. Apparently a person could graduate with never having repinned or picked a lock.

The FB 200 is no longer being made, but the site is selling some parts. The rest of the site sells some tools and some of the very common key blanks, but nothing remarkable. Some of the prices were not that bad, but did not see anything I had to have.

I'm glad someone is keeping the name going
It's not like Foley-Belsaw turned out actual working locksmiths, they just gave folks a glimpse
into their way of doing some simple locksmith tasks

Still, here is Your chance to provide the locksmith course of the future
