I have been keying up several Sargent LFIC, series 6300 cores and find the original chart to produce the pinning chart to be very clunky. Does anyone have a super slick formula for determining the step-up and top pins for the control spaces(3 & 4?)
I figured out a simpler process and just wanted someone more familiar to verify it.
My steps: (so easy I can do it in my head)
1. Subtract the control key CUT from 12 to get the top pin for that space.
2. Since the numerical total for the control spaces is 20, subtract the bottom pin (plus wafers if any) and the top pin (from step 1) and you are left with the step-up pin number.
Is this correct or am I missing something? It seems too easy after looking at the factory chart.
Thanks
Raymond
