97 ford ranger with mazda key

Pull up a chair, grab a cold one, and talk about life as a locksmith. Trade stories of good and bad customers, general work day frustrations, any fun projects you worked on recently, or anything else you want to chat about with fellow locksmiths.

A quick search show it widely available. Don't know how much more help you are needing. The P just means plastic, so try without the P.

I put the blank into Google and the first us result was this, no idea who they are or if they are reputable,
https://www.internationalkeysupply.com/ ... -key-blank
The p means plastic head.

Reputable is the main issue for me. Im not usually fond of ordering things online. Really for the truck im more interested in having a single key that works for everything. Not sure what im going to do with it since theres no locksmith in my area heh.

You travel the countryside, driving a long haul truck .. Find a local smith at your next drop&pick and have a key made.
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...

I would have thought a 97 Ranger would be transponder?

Its not a transponder, no. As it happens, this thread is now a moot point, motor blew in the truck heh.

Depends on the accessories, an all manual 97 Ranger with roll up windows and no A/C won't necessarily
have a transponder key--far as I can tell the info is purposely uncompiled, perhaps to frustrate car thieves?
Maybe to sell more transponder programming equipment?
