It's all Dad's fault. Used to always go on service calls with him. With him either always lock smithing or mechanic-ing, I developed an incessant need to take things apart and sometimes even put them back together. Oddly it never really clicked that I should take it up as a profession before. For whatever reason Dad started attending the association meetings again, and I had nothing better to do (was recovering from a broken ankle), so I went along. After a couple years, I finally asked if one of the guys wanted an apprentice. That's been 2 something years ago, now I'm working 1 day a week, soaking up all I can. Hoping to do better health wise to make the jump from security guard to full time smith. It's challenging and different every time.
To believe a thing impossible is to make it so.
