a word of caution

Postby cledry » 7 May 2013 22:36

There are quite a few guys from the Ukraine or Russia working here in the USA as locksmiths. Unfortunately they seem to end up working for a group of Israeli scam artists (not sure if that will translate well). Therefor their reputation is not very well-regarded. The way these scams work is the customer will GOOGLE for the cheapest locksmith in X city. The ad on GOOGLE will be this scammer. Some are based in NYC, some in Arizona, perhaps elsewhere. They answer the phone pretending to be local. You will be quoted a ridiculously low price. When the locksmith (I hesitate to use the word) arrives he will take apart your lock, or destroy it and sell you a new lock, they will demand cash and the prices will be extremely high. They will use intimidation to get the customer's money.

So I would be careful who you get work with. I can only imagine anyone working for these people will also have trouble getting what is owed them and a fair wage.

In every nation there are good and bad guys, just more of them somewhere and somewhere less. As for me, I do not want to work with people from post-Soviet countries, because I know that they themselves are not very well established in providing locksmith services. I want to work with the Americans in American companies. His honesty and integrity can not prove a word and deed! You can rely on me in any situation I will not fail!

If you have a mechanical engineering degree why not get a job doing THAT? Perhaps for a lock manufacturer?

I want to migrate to live in America, and start to be engaged in their favorite thing, I really like to do. The next month will be a new imigratsion reform in the United States, I think that the officials did a much better environment for residents of other countries who want to come to work

Well, I wish you much success. There is support for immigrants from various agencies. I would not give up the idea of using your degree, though.
