Having been here for 14 years, I can say that when the weather is nice during summer months, a lot of people go out side and away from the computer. There's always a core group of people who log in an check the forum, but don't post much, and there's a smaller group who post or reply regularly. That group changes as people come and go.
In the past, with forum admins before my time, there was an us vs them mentality and other forums were seen as competition I see other forums such a Keypicking, and other social media such as LockpickingLaywers youtube channel, or the reddit.com/r/lockpicking group just to name a few, as friends and as more ways to get people interested in this hobby. All of these are good things.
If you want some live interaction, the /r/lockpicking Discord chat channel has a lot of people there 24/7 to chat with about locks, picking, tool making, safe cracking, etc.
We will continue to be here as we have been since 2003 to provide a vast wealth of locksport and locksmith knowledge, it is difficult to keep old photos up as members over the years have lost or removed their hosting services, while some hosts went out of business or started to charge for accounts, but there is still a lot written information here to beginners and experts alike.
We hope you enjoy your stay, and keep learning and picking.
