do you access control and electronic tech?

This area is for discussing the installation and troubleshooting of access control, prox reader, strikes, or electronic prox fob and keypad locks. No bypass or Advanced techniques please.

Went on a job today and ADT had installed Kwikset Kevo locks to work with their system wirelessly. I had to inform the customer that ADT had just ruined $24000 worth of 2 hour fire doors and that we wouldn't touch their doors. They were trying to now tie the ADT system into the wired system we had installed on the lever locks because the Kevo locks kept mysteriously unlocking themselves

I've seen what ADT does with alarm panels - picturing them working on doors/locks makes me want to get in the fetal position and cry.

Yep! It's a corporation, so you can expect they're not particularly focused on quality work as much as they focus on getting jobs done and money in the bank.

Did they add the Kevo's above a leverset?
