Good online source for original Schlage S123 & S145 blanks?

Postby htroberts » 5 Aug 2018 19:26

Anyone have a good online source for original Schlage S123 and S145 keyblanks? Both regular 6-pin and control keys, and in box (50) quantities.

("Good" = reliable, quick to ship, and $50-85 per box--obviously cheaper is better and I expect control keys to be more)

The only place I've seen them so far is http://mysecuritypro.com. Unless you have a bulk contract with someone though, I doubt you'd be able to get them in the price range you mention. Everest 29 is still patent encumbered for another decade plus, so there's no (legal) third party competition yet. Schlage has every incentive to milk that for every penny it's worth.

Thanks! I don't see control keys on their website, will call and see if they have them.

It's probably going to be cheaper to open an account with HL Flake or IML https://www.imlss.com/ versus buying online, but Mr. Lock also sell them..

Control Blanks here:

$50 for 50 probably wont happen honestly, the $85 or more is more realistic of a price.

List price is 3.40 each so you're not going to find them for anywhere close to your desired price.

Yeah was going to suggest that, but he wanted a source he could count on buying from over the long haul, and eBay is definitely not that. $100+/box does seem more like the price I'd expect to pay for patented blanks though... I'd consider that a decent deal and would probably grab them if I was looking for that particular blank.

Squelchtone, the links you posted are for the original Everest (C series), the patent on those expired I think a year or two ago so the prices are much lower. I have a couple 10-count bags of the C123 section from Ilco, and am quite pleased with them. I don't remember exactly what I paid, but I recall somewhere in the $1.50/unit range, which I was also pretty satisfied with for a less-than-full-box quantity.

I had seen this as well, but I need other profiles and control blanks.
