Wondering which locksmith course to take? Looking for locksmith license info for your locale? This is the forum for you.

Foley-Belsaw Course.

Postby Exodus5000 » 10 Sep 2004 15:11

I know there have been a few posts on this, but reading through the lengthy posts I couldn't find the answers to a few questions I have.

http://www.locksmithingschool.com/

After looking at the site my questions still remain:

1.) How much does it cost to order their locksmithing course? As in, how much in one fell payment.
2.) What is a reasonable amount of time to expect to finish the course?
3.) Is the cost inclusive for all the tools needed to complete the course?
4.) Will the F-B certificate recieved be enough to justify carrying locksmithing tools on my person?

Thanks all.

Let me see what I can answer for you.

About $800.00 if you wait a while and let them send you a few offers. The second mailing I got from them included the pick gun offer, and it was $948.00 total cost.

Anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on your aptitude, and if you get any additional diplomas.

Exodus5000 wrote:3.) Is the cost inclusive for all the tools needed to complete the course?

To the best of my knowledge all of the tools, locks, keys, picks and other materials you will need are included with the course.

The answer to this question is entirely dependent on the laws of your state and nothing more. You may require a business license, or a locksmithing license, or a combination of things. In any case, if you must have a license, the diploma is going to back you up that you WANT to be a locksmith.
