IN Person automotive locksmith course - Anywhere in US

Hello!

I work for a large automotive company and we need the ability to pair keys , I have done a ton of research and done ride alongs with local smiths who do automotive. We are ready to buy all equipment but our primary investor wants us to attend some type of formal training.

I was all set to do lockmasters, looked at airfare and hotels, but the automotive guy isn't around anymore!!!!!!!! What else is out there, as far as in person, that is top of the line in person training for AUTOMOTIVE ONLY focusing mostly on programming and pairing. We won't be doing any (maybe 1-5%) of key creation, as in we will almost always have the key in our hand at location, so that isn't a major focus for us.

Many on other forums are saying with MVP pro and keyline 994 the manuals will suffice for our needs, but I also wanted to check here. THANK YOU ALL!

What part of the country?

ALOA hosts classes year round in Dallas, they also have a convention towards the end of each summer. A lot of local associations and ALOA chapters host classes year round as well. You'll find plenty of automotive classes right there.

Might also consider reaching out to the local Advanced Diagnostics (MVP manufacturer) rep to see if they provide training or can suggest alternatives.

So Lockmasters isn't offering their PureAuto training any longer?

I'd look at the Intermountain Lock & Security Supply (IMLSS) Expo. IMLSS has them every few months. They typically have 2 to 3 days of training classes, and there are always automotive courses available. Nice thing is that you can pick and choose which ones you want - Key generation, transponders and programming, motorcycles, etc. I've been to a number of their classes. They are almost always taught by well known people in the field, and I've never had a bad experience.

Unfortunately, they just had an expo last week. The next one won't be until February. Here's the link to the expo's: http://www.imlss.com/event.html
