Drivers, sure, they never come into play. I was concerned about the key pins - but now that you've made me think about it a little more, you're correct: they might stop marking when they reach a serration, but once all the other pins aren't binding they'll start to mark again.
Doesn't make it any easier to read the bloody marks...
