First Pin-Tumbler Success - 1.25" Mini Yale Padlock

Impressioning warded, lever, and wafer tumbler locks has always come relatively easy to me, but I've been lost when it comes to pin-tumbler. Been working on my file technique, watching videos, upgrading workstation lighting, all that...finally paid off

Successfully impressioned this mini (1.25") Yale padlock I've attempted in the past. Blind code was no help (cut a 52644 key based off code, ended up being 85977...the last two depths were between 7 and 8, though).



For the first time, felt like I knew what I was looking at and how to interpret the marks I was seeing. A good feeling, for sure.

Very nice! I need to impression a key for my bicentric, but I'm not up to the challenge at the moment. I only have one vintage blank, so I can't screw it up.
