These key blanks are really expensive. Around $3 each in small lots (10 or less), plus s/h which doubles cost. These keys fit old ILCO "peanut cylinder" padlocks, and I am impressioning one. Taylor lists a cross reference to an IL13, but that is a thicker and longer key blank. Anyone have a source for these that is reasonable? Pete Sioux Falls, SD

Have a picture of the keyway? I think I know which one it is, and may be able to help.

This is a pic of the keyway. I thought maybe X1054BK would also work. I haven't tried that though. I definitely know the X1054JK will fit.

Have you tried a Kwikset?

Unfortunately, I don't have that blanks for that section. Sorry. Hope someone else can help.

Kwikset KW1 is entirely too large (tall) and not the same profile. An ILCO X1054BK may operate, but the taller ILCO X1054K will not.
I will bite the bullet and buy a few online from the lowest price I can find... and hopefully don't screw up too maany blanks before I get a working key impressioned.

I found the discontinued blank number... which is helpful when trying to buy vintage discontinued stock.

I found some X1054JA blanks in my shop that look pretty close--I think that's what I used to make a key for my Ilco padlock too

To increase your odds of success and you can pick open, you may be able to determine depth of pin 1, and if second cut is deeper, you might get pin 2's depth. Good luck.
