I recall seeing some posts on the forum where folks displayed patent drawing--except that certain parts were outlined and colored very nicely. It really highlighted the moving parts very well -- I was wondering if anyone else remembers seeing these and who the original poster was.
I'd like to make something similar on some patent drawings.
I didn't see that before -- but that's the right idea. I looked around at patent drawings on LP101 and couldn't find the example, but I'm pretty sure it was here. How did you do yours? Pete

I can make a video some time but here are the major steps:
1. Download Paint.net https://www.dotpdn.com/files/paint.net.4.3.12.install.anycpu.web.zip 2. Unzip it and install Paint.net 3. Open Paint.NET then File > Open > select the image you wish to colorize 4. Click Layers, Add New Layer 5. Click Layers, Layer Properties, and drag the Opacity from 255 to 140 6. pick the Shapes tool to draw a circle, square, triangle, and at the top menu bar select Draw Filled Shape. 7. pick a color and start drawing over the parts you wish to color. 8. When you are done, File Save as , and then Paint.NET .pdf file, and then File Safe as .png, and Flatten Layers. You can share the .png with others and any browser can open the file.
