making a lock

Enjoy watching chips pile up as you make a sweet cutaway lock? Do you have a youtube channel showing off your new mini lathe? Get excited when you buy a new X-Y table? When someone says Bridgeport, do you perk up? Then this is the forum for you!

I haven't been around here in a while. I see we have a forum for machining locks, etc. -awesome! Hard to find folks into building locks.

Here's a link to some of the things I've been doing lately. Designing and machining a dimple core lock. Using on the job CAD plus a mini-mill and lathe in a spare room at the condo but have a bit of work to go.

That's cool,
I made two delrin bushings to stabilize the spindle wobble in an old Jado passage leverset and I charged $32.50 each to install them

Are you making the actual keyblanks for your lock too?

Sounds neat!

Key: yeah, I have to, the key is totally unique. The divots will be cut in situ with the rest of the chambers.
