You're right. It's not the term bona fide that indicated prefessional. It's the term "locksmith".

Bona fide roughly means "in good faith".

But... it's a small point because you will not have any problems getting your picks.

Merriam Webster defines a locksmith as a person who makes or services locks. And a the prefix "smith" means one who makes or works at something specified. Notice how there is no mention of doing this for a profession.
Peterson takes the other route and says "professionals".
