Hey guys, i am gonna start lockpicking soon. I have always had an interest in it, and have always wanted to start. I am wondering where to start. I dont have any tools, and no practice locks. Where can i get cheap lockpick tools, and some good 100% beginner locks? i am a college student so i dont have ample cash to spend. Also, are there any sites online that can run me through a simple beginning picking of a lock? like a site that will run me step by step so i can sit in front of my computer and try to pick a simple lock? i appreciate any help guys, thanks

You have just posted in the best hobby-picking forum available!

All the information that you seek is contained within the topics of this forum. You just need a little nudge in the right direction.

Check out the FAQ's and General Information section. In there, you will find answers to questions that have been asked many times before.

To answer your questions pseudo-specifically:
Cheap tools - make them...search for pyro's video
Beginner locks - Master #3 or a Kwikset deadbolt are the suggested locks.
Tutorial sites, Hmmm - Howstuffworks.com, dp.penix.org/cl.htm, reading the MIT guide...

HTH without handing too much on a plate.

A plate's fine. It's the spoon that you gotta worry about.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....
