Hardest Lock You Have Ever Picked?

Postby LearningHard » 29 Oct 2005 21:59

Ok The topic is pretty self explanitory but i feel that i have become pretty good at picking and i have gotten myself to pick nearly every single masterlock(easy) and i have gotten to the level of dead bolt picking(not rakeing but picking each pin (Dexter Schlage deadbolt -new-)) so my question is

what is the hardest deadbolt lock that is commercaly avalible
" " padlock " "
and what is the hardest lock that you have picked

ps. yes i know my spelling sucks

So are you asking about a deadbolt, or a padlock? I'm not clear on what your question is.

He's asking three questions db. The funky " " are inferring that the question remains the same for the second line, however deadbolt is replaced with padlock.

What is the hardest deadbolt lock that is commercially available?

People will have differing opinions on that. It also depends on the persons skill and knowledge. My opinion is that any deadbolt that has an Abloy or Medeco cylinder is hard for me. Same with lever locks with more than 2 levers, simply because I have had zero practice on such locks.

What is the hardest padlock that is commercially available?

Some Abus padlocks are hard, same with some Abloy padlocks. Once again it depends on the persons skill and knowledge, and can be debated as above.

What is the hardest lock you have ever picked?

A six pin lockwood cylinder with three spools in positions two, four and six.

What is the hardest deadbolt lock that is commercially available?

Any thing that contains : Evva 3ks, Lockwood Twin, Medeco 3, BiLock (oldgen), Abloy Protec (all disks without master key cuts), any chubb lever locks....Oh the list is almost endless

What is the hardest padlock that is commercially available?

What Chrispy said

What is the hardest lock you have ever picked?

hmmmm. . . Probably the one that gave me the most grief was the lockwood twin. . . :(

4 spool Abus probably. 3 pin medeco sounds harder though.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it's actually a really good question: whats your greatest 'pick'/bypass/hack/ whatever (concerning locks)? Good post

In case you didn't notice, you got a lot of intelligent responses from a lot of people with high post counts who have been around for a while, which is almost always a good sign that you had something intelligent to ask/say (unless you said something unbelievably stupid that just incited massive flaming  ); 'the elders approve, my son' :P

I guess my toughest one would have to be an Evva 3KS, after that an Abloy Protec, and then maybe a Kaba Gemini or a Medeco M3...

Yeah, I lied (didn't know till I told 'ya, didja, huh? huh?)
