upsidedown tumbler?

Postby echohtp » 23 Nov 2005 16:48

i was picking a tumbler i borrowed from a locksmith friend of mine, and whilst picking it, it got locked upside down while rotating it. im not sure how to get it back in the right direction and also i was messing with that button in the back and rotating the little cover around it. sorry not too good with terms. the button is back up through the cover, and this is one of those wehre i could take the pins out of the lock for tons of more fun, should i do this in order to reorient the tumbler? help! :)

ohhhh this hapens quite often...

put tension on the cylinder, and rake at the top pins to set those.

what happens is the top pins fall into the bottom of the plug when turned 180 degrees, and get stuck.

You don't even need to rake them. Simply turn your pick over to the flat side up and lift the pins to the top of the plug. :)

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....
