I've got like 4 old combination locks here, and don't remember the combination for them, does anyone know a way to get them without taking off the back?? :?

It's not possible, bust out that can opener....

Seriously, this has been dicussed about 20 times in the last 6 months - try using the search function.

The funniest part is that there's an active thread on this somewhere.

Despite the gruff welcome, this is really a pretty good bunch around here. Honest! :D

It would have been helpful if you'd have provided model numbers or pictures of said locks. That might help us help you. We're good... but most here are not mind readers... and those of us who are save our special powers for the cute gal down at the bank.

*I'm going allong the lines of a SQUIRE combo lock here so correct me if it works differently for Master combos*

pull up on the shakle and start to turn the dial. it will turn and eventualy get stuck - this is the last combination of your lock. It is the last combination because the last combo disk is the biggest, and terefore is the only one that will make it stick in such a way.

then enter the number into whatever program you are using and it will generate a list of possiblilties... one of these will work on you lock.

*the generating program does not work on squire combo locks...*

yeah and please search... not only for our sakes, but maybe we will have missed out something that has been previously elaborated

one thing you might like if you are interested in master combo locks is being able to open them backwards... There is a thread about it somewhere, and whilst you don't HAVE to do it, is a right laugh when you manage it :P

search round the threads... oh yeah and enjoy the site :)
