Bumping a tetra

Postby Wrenchman » 10 Jan 2006 10:53

Hi, I am back after a long time, it is good to be with you guys, I have been spending my time opening locks and I just started to make handmade bumpkeys, and they work!

I have not had the chance to open a tetra lock yet, and I think I will buy one to practice on.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to bump a tetra lock?

and what tool do I need to pick a tetra lock?

PS. pictures of the tool would be nice

Thanks

PSS. now just to be sure that you know what a tetra is, let me explain.
The word in brazil is tetra, and maybe the same in the US of A, it has four rows of pins, one up, one down, one left, one right. Like a phillips screwdriver.
Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

I have bumped a tetra lock using homemade tools.

I posted photos and video on this thread: viewtopic.php?t=11057

Yes, yes it is indeed possible to bump these locks.

This lock is also known as a "cruci-form" lock.

Hope this helps :P
