Evening everyone. Removed and old chubb deadlock today to replace it with the new b-3g110-pl-73, now with the hardplate. The problem I have is that I have just started to pick the old lock with the cb pick using the 7g stem. When you turn the curtain the wire completely jams up and cannot be moved. Advice please. tks

the five g stem just slops about the
curtain hole, the 7g fits snug and turns the curtain well. evored are you saying I am using the wrong stem and can these locks be picked with the cb? signed confused

if the 5g slops and 7g doesnt paul , you have things arse about face, 5g is the thicker stem and the 7g is the smaller stem, 7g keyway is smaller than a 5g and the chubb 3G110 is a 5g lock mate.

start on less challenging locks than a 110 when learning this tool, but when well practiced your 5g pick will fit snugly and will pick this lock.

to add
the cb pick does pick the 110 , i believe about a dozen of us now are defeating this lock with the cb pick, but not before we beat the simpler locks first.
ive had times of 7 minutes to 3 hours on the 110, so dont expect miracles.

learn to defeat low levers on era and legge and adapt this to the detainers, though the feel and pick is decieving often on the 110 and very frustrating.

the pick is no magic wand, it is limited by user knowledge and skill only, a good start is to strip the lock and play with it, learn its characteristics and ways, drill a peep hole in it to see what you are feeling , only by doing it will you defeat it, it wont be beaten by asking others how, this is one lock that is self taught.

Hi guys
just bought Pinky's lock id cd. There's so much info on this disc it's unbelievable. Costing £50, it covers all aspects of locks, from auto's, to high security info. With this one disc you'll never need to buy anything else. It's terrific value for money. To anyone seriously interested in lock work, look no further, this is something else. ,Thanks mate. Well done Pinky
